Our Favourite Books

I can’t stress the importance of reading books to children. Start them young! I used to read to my first son at only three months old. No matter what he’s doing, if I ever ask him if he’d like to stop an activity to read a book, his eyes will light up immediately.
I hope your families love these cherished books as much as we have.

Goodnight, Moon!

The perfect nighttime read. I never understood the brilliance of this book until we were gifted it with our first son.
It’s a classic. Do yourself a favour – pick one of these up asap.

Brown Bear

This is a wonderful book to read, especially with toddlers. There’s something about the art that draws my kids’ eyes to this time and time again. The repetition of colours and animals helped him learn the subjects really fast. A great read.

Hello Baby: Faces

Babies get to learn different expressions in this high-contrast book. A great way for them to learn more about emotions.

Pop-Up Peekaboo! (Space)

We are huge fans of pop-up books in our home. This pop-up explores the themes of space: astronauts, rocket ships, the moon, aliens, and more!

Steam Train, Dream Train

Sherri Duskey Rinker’s books are always a hit, but this is one of Joey’s most asked for stories. A perfect nighttime read from the soft graphics to the wonderful story of animal friends packing up different parts of a train just before bedtime.

Mortimer

My son’s favourite book at the moment is Robert Munsch’s “Mortimer”. This classic book features Mortimer, who for some odd reason, won’t stop singing his crazy song even after the police show up at his house! A fun read with your children. I made my own tune to Mortimer’s famous song which we sing on a regular basis in our home.
